Sports are definitely not amongst my favorite pastimes, but after seeing =yellowcaseartist 's basketball picture ([link]), I somehow felt inspired to do a sports picture.
This work is nothing short but amazing. It made my jaw drop when I saw the thumbnail and instantly reminded me of the great works you can see in the newsletters of the big 3D online stores. The lightning in this work is exceptionally well done and really creates the impression of a rural streetball court in the glow of the afternoon sun. The surrounding environment is wonderfully detailed as are the two players in the focus, both being sexy and very dynamic in their movement. Small details like their pants add to the astounding level of realism, along with the fabulous expression of the curly guy, which shows his focus on the game. Together with the depth of field and the framing effect this work really stands out and is a true demonstration of what is possible using 3D render technique.
This is MASTERY here. I'm afraid to use AhEnvironment. I use Uberenvironment... but the lights look abit the same if using the default settings with Uberenvironment!
Thank you. I started with ahEnvironment because I didn't have DS3A until March. I think, it still allows finer control of the light, but I often got ugly shadows beneath the hair, which I couldn't get rid off, despite trying different and high quality settings. That seems to be much less of a problem with UberEnvironment.
